Book Review – The Player (The Player #1) by K. Bromberg

Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times Bestselling Author, K. Bromberg.

Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.

So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in the renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.

Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.

And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to side in the club’s best interest if he’s ready to play.

But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat or is one of them bound to get burned?

This review is going to be short, sweet and spoiler free!!!!!

First of all I LOVE baseball players and THE PLAYER couldn’t have been any more captivating.  It was one HOT, SEXY, and EMOTIONAL book.

K. Bromberg knows how to write exceptionally emotional novels that have something EXTRA. Something special that keeps me enthralled and glued to the pages every single time I read one of her books. Add to that a hot baseball player and a wonderful heroine and you got an addicting combination.

THE PLAYER turned out to be an incredibly heart-warming story. Teary eyed and emotional I was following the couples’ journey and didn’t want it to end.

From the very first page I felt a connection between the couple that was genuine and raw. An attraction and spark that turned into an all consuming flame.

The situation that the couple found itself in was heart-wrenching and felt agonizingly real. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and I was rooting for them until the very end.

I was surprised how deeply emotional this book turned out to be. Emotional, heart-warming, funny, sexy and sweet – so many feelings emerged and I couldn’t put it down, not even for one minute.

This is a book that should be enjoyed in one sitting. Don’t even try to start it without having the time to finish it, you’ll have a hard time putting it down.

  1. Terrific review, Corina 🙂 The best stories are those who have a little bit of everything in them: the fun, the heart, the tears and the steam. Sounds like this one checked all the boxes.
