Book Review – Blush for Me (Fusion #3) by Kristen Proby

SEXCATION – that’s all I’m saying!!!

As the take-charge wine bar manager of Seduction, Portland’s hottest new restaurant, Katrina Meyers is the definition of no-nonsense, and she isn’t afraid of anything. Well, almost anything: she hates to fly. When she’s forced to travel on a death trap with wings, the turbulence from hell has her reaching for any safe haven—including the incredibly handsome guy sitting next to her.

Ryan “Mac” MacKenzie hasn’t been able to get his sexy seatmate out of his head. The way she clung to him stirred something inside him he didn’t think existed: tenderness. As the owner of a successful wine touring company, Mac thinks he’s got a handle on what life can throw at him and he’s not prepared for any surprises, especially in the feelings department. And when he brings a tour into Seduction, he sees the petite spitfire he just can’t forget.

Mac is determined to discover what else they have in common besides fine wine and the inability to keep their hands off each other. But what will it take for two stubborn people to realize that what they have is so much more than a hot chemistry between the sheets and to admit to falling in love…?

Expected publication: March 7th 2017

I truly loved the first half of the book. Kat and Mac were explosive together.

After meeting at a wine tour that lasted an ENTIRE week in NAPA, my favorite place on earth to get drunk, they enjoyed their evenings together and had me glued to the pages.

Who wouldn’t like a SEXCATION with a hot guy – definitely me!!! Kat and Mac had intense chemistry, wonderful banter, and Mac was the sweetest guy to Kat’s bold vibrancy. But OMG in the bedroom, Mac let his dominant side come out and play and Kat couldn’t believe her luck.

Kat didn’t know that they both lived in Portland, so they said good buy at the airport and each returned to their own life. Two weeks later, Mac finally relented and decided to visit Kat at her workplace, after all he couldn’t stop thinking about her since he got home.

Their chemistry was as hot as ever and both realized that there was more between them then just lust and sex. Kat and Mac became pretty easily a couple. They were compatible in and out of the bedroom – and that’s were I started to lose interest.

I would say the main issue I had with this book was that everything was too easy. There wasn’t a major conflict, at least not one that shook me out of my stupor. My mind started wandering and I had a hard time connecting with the plot.

I’ve noticed I have this issue with stories that are too SWEET! Not necessary cheesy, just too neatly wrapped and easygoing. And sometimes, let’s say often, the issue lies with me and NOT with the quality of writing or the plot/characters.

So, with  a heavy heart I’m breaking up with Blush for Me (Fusion #3) by Kristen Proby!!
